Presented with Macaroni Kid Westchester North, this fun weekly program introduces families and their young children to art through activities, stories, and play at the Katonah Museum of Art. A discounted Family Membership of 40% off regular price is offered to all participants.

10% of all admission sales will be donated to the Katonah Museum of Art and an additional 10% will be donated to KMA during any book fair sessions!
Week 1: Getting to Know You Create a “Collage about Me” with a variety of interesting art materials. Explore KMA’s current exhibition and themes found throughout the museum with a scavenger hunt based on colors and shapes.
Week 2: Parent & Child Mindfulness through Art
Child and caregiver will create an art piece that brings a sense of awareness to oneself with serene hues. A mini session of playful yoga stretching and mindfulness will be introduced in this session as well. This is a great class to celebrate Mother’s Day a little early.
Week 3: My Favorite Color
Your child will create an art piece based on their favorite color and its meaning. Use a variety of paints, water colors, pastels, crayons, and markers. Parachute time and storytime about colors will be featured in this session.
Week 4: Outdoor Art As a celebration of our 4 week program, this session takes us outdoors. Find a natural object that inspires a nature-themed masterpiece. We will conclude our session with a fun picnic (bring your own snack) as well as a book fair featuring the outdoors, play and summer.

Class fees are via cash only and will be accepted at the front desk up to 30 minutes prior to class.

For non-KMA members: $10/child + $5 for each additional child (or $20/family)
For KMA members $5/child or $10/family
