STEAMFEST 2018: November 17th 12:00 - 3:00

An afternoon of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math

By Ruth Keeler Memorial Library & Macaroni Kid Westchester North October 23, 2018

Attention all young STEAM fans!  The annual STEAMFest will be held on Saturday, November 17th from noon to 3:00 pm at Ruth Keeler Memorial Library in North Salem.

Mad Science is coming with a special interactive show, “Fire & Ice”. Learn about the amazing properties of fire and combustion. Then cool off with demonstrations involving dry ice such as the “Big Burp”, the “Screwdriver Sizzle” and the “Mad Science Bath”. Discover the science behind this amazing frozen gas.

The show will start promptly at 12:00 and be followed by hands-on workshops exploring the science behind volcanoes, magnets, magic and more. Old favorites such as the wind tunnel, rockets and curve lacing will be back.

This fun day is free and designed for kids in grades kindergarten and older (however not a drop - off). Plan on staying with your children and having fun together while discovering amazing STEAM.

Space is very limited so register your child by calling 914-669-5161, emailing the librarykeelerlibrary@wlsmail.org or via link: https://www.ruthkeelermemoriallibrary.org/programs/steamfest-2018/ and click the RSVP button.

We are so excited about this program that your very own Publisher of Macaroni Kid Westchester North will be there too!

This special event has been generously provided by the Caples Family Fund, a grant from Senator Murphy’s office and the Library Visiting Committee.
