Morning Hike After Thanksgiving

Feast & Hike

By Karen S. Savir, Macaroni Kid Westchester North November 17, 2018

You ate, you celebrated and now it's time to hike! What better way to feel better after a heavy feast than a family friendly hike at Yorktown's Turkey Mountain Trailhead on Friday, November 23rd 10:00 am - noon.  This guided hike with Westchester Land Trust is an annual tradition that is a family favorite to many in Westchester County and beyond.  Recommended for ages 8 and up, Turkey Mountain Trailhead is rated moderate by many families.  However since it's only 2.2 mile loop, trail will be challenging for the average kid yet the ideal length with a beautiful peak's view for all to love.

A few other details:

Meeting place is at the parking lot, try to be there a little before 10:00 am.

Bring your own snacks and water since there are no vendors there.

Program is free and made possible by Westchester Land Trust's generous donors.  Please visit website and contribute by being a volunteer or through a monetary donation so this organization can keep on putting together great programs for our community!
