Winter Coat Drive to Benefit Community Center of Northern Westchester

Ridgefield Academy's Winter Drive

By Jessica Brooks, Ridgefield Academy & Karen Savir, Macaroni Kid Westchester North January 10, 2019

With the cold weather hitting us this month,  Ridgefield Academy (a private school located minutes away from the Northern Westchester County border) will be kicking off their winter apparel drive to benefit Community Center of Northern Westchester located in the heart of Katonah Village . These cold winter months is a struggle for many families who are in desperate need for warm clothes and other necessities.

Ridgefield Academy will be collecting winter coats, hats and gloves of all sizes to help the community center and the clients they support in more than 30 communities in Northern Westchester. The center is also in need of baby clothes, diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6), baby wipes, and (new) kids’ pajamas and baby food.  Any donation is greatly appreciated!

The collection wagons will be in the Summit and Annex lobby at Ridgefield Academy and will end on Friday, January 18th

You do not have to be a Ridgefield Academy family to participate in the drive, simply gather all your items and drop off your donations at Community Center of Northern Westchester.  You will receive a tax-deductible slip for your generosity and help.

Community Center of Northern Westchester is located at 84 Bedford Rd, Katonah, NY 10536.  For more information about the organization, any volunteer opportunities and business partnerships, please visit:
