4th of July Fireworks in Westchester County (and Beyond)

Celebrate the 4th of July at these local fireworks events! Most of the events listed are in Westchester County but some are further north (but worth the drive)!

Saturday, June 29, 2019

  • Somers -- Block Party Celebration begins at 2:00 pm with Live Bands, Dancing, Games, Art and Craft Fair, Farmers Markets, Rides and Entertainment for kids of all ages. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.  Tickets available for purchase at the Somers Lions Club website.
  • Lewisboro -- 21st annual event held at Onatru Farm Park features live music and fireworks. $20 parking fee. 
  • Pound Ridge -- Annual 4th of July celebration includes fireworks at dusk. Limited non-resident passes will be available for $30 (cash only). Visit the town of Pound Ridge website for more information.

  • White Plains - Music, games, entertainment and fireworks can all be found at this 4th of July celebration at White Plains High School.
  • Scarsdale -- Annual Fireworks display held at Scarsdale Pool Complex.  Charge of $5 per person for non pool members. Entertainment begins at 7:30 and fireworks will be held at approximately 9:15 p.m.

  • Ossining will hold its annual celebration at Louis Engel Waterfront Park, 160 Westerly Road. Event begins at 7:30 p.m. with live music to start. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:15 p.m.
  • Kensico Dam Music Fest and Fireworks -- Celebrate our country’s Independence Day with live music and one of the area’s most stunning fireworks shows at the annual Music Fest & Fireworks on Monday, July 3, at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. and the fireworks should begin around 9:15 p.m. Visit theWestchestergov.com website for more information.
  • Harrison -- Entertainment begins at 8 p.m. with live music followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. at the Harrison Shopping Center on Halstead Avenue.
  • Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers hosts Fireworks and a Summer Concert featuring The NYC Party Band. Entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. with the fireworks scheduled for approximately 9:30 p.m.

  • Spark the Sound -- the famous Grucci family fireworks will be displayed along the New Rochelle waterfront at 9:30 p.m. Visit the City of New Rochelle website for more information.
  • Riverfront 4th of July Concert and Fireworks in Peekskill. Concert begins at 7 p.m. at Riverfront Green Park and the fireworks will happen at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.) over the Hudson River. Music by Billy and the Showmen.
  • Sleepy Hollow Fireworks Display begins at dusk. Fireworks may be seen from lower Beekman Avenue, Kingsland Point Park, Horans Landing Park, DeVries Park & Barnhart Park.
  • Tarrytown Fireworks in Pierson Park. Live music prior at 7 p.m. and fireworks begin at dusk.
  • Pops, Patriots, and Fireworks at Caramoor in Katonah. The Westchester Symphonic Winds perform a selection of works that pay tribute to America’s independence. The evening includes a medley of Rodgers and Hammerstein songs performed by Caramoor Schwab Vocal Rising Star alums Madison Leonard and Shea Owens, and ends with a rousing rendition of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, followed by a spectacular fireworks display!
  • Fireworks and Carnival in Mamaroneck at Harbor Island Park.
  • Rye Playland -- Special Holiday Celebration at 9:30 p.m. Visit the Playland website for more information.
  • Walkway over the Hudson 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular -- catch a spectacular view of the City of Poughkeepsie Fireworks from the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park. Tickets required -- prices are $12.50 for adults and $10 for Walkway Members. Kids under 10 are free. Walkway will open at 7 p.m. for ticket holders and the fireworks are scheduled to begin between 9 and 9:30 p.m. For more information, visit the walkway.org website.

Independence Day Celebration at West Point from 7:30 - 9 p.m. Trophy Point, 117 Washington Rd, West Point, NY 10996. There’s no better way to celebrate America’s independence than with the Army’s oldest band! Grab a blanket, bring a picnic, and enjoy a wide variety of music ranging from traditional field music to today’s popular hits, and everything in between. As always, this performance concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over the Hudson River. In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place on Sunday, July 8th at 7:30 PM.
