Jefferson Valley Mall is celebrating something big on Saturday, October 5th! In fact, they are celebrating not only their 30th anniversary but also showing how the mall is not just a mall, but rather a community place for all ages. Yes, we all love to shop and eat... however rain or shine, Jefferson Valley Mall has been there for the community and beyond. Sponsored by Washington Prime, all year round, the mall spreads the act of kindness with many free programs, classes and events. For the past several years, Macaroni Kid Westchester North and Apple Moms of Hudson Valley have been creating and leading many of its family friendly programs which have been very popular among families with young ones.
Yorktown Community Day will feature many activities for all ages indoors and outdoors, did I mention amazing prizes!
The day will be filled with bouncy houses (outdoors) to benefit Love Holds Life.
Indoor featuring: Live performances by UMAC Shrub Oak, Yorktown High School Orchestra and Epic Dance Studio, shopping, Momma Makes Beauty Face Painting, non-profit vendors, Fall fashion workshop , The Pet Gazette featuring our characters Brownie the Dog and Freddie the Frog, fun contests and crafts by Apple Moms of Hudson Valley, 5 minute interviews by the mall's retailers and other amazing local businesses, FREE fire detectors by American Red Cross, discover the power of Y.E.S with Gina, Orangetheory, Book Fair and Card Making to benefit Friends of Karen. For all book purchases, you will receive DOUBLE entries to WIN BOOKS FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR (for ages: 0 - 10).
